About the Role
We are looking for an innovative and engaging Process Improvement Engineer to join our team at our Kwinana Processing Plant on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be accountable for providing technical expertise to process, quality, reliability and cost improvement projects to ensure the on-going success of the business, whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
Reporting to the Lead Process Improvement Engineer, the key responsibilities will include:
- Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Performing design calculations, developing technical scopes and review/approval of engineering documents.
- Providing support to the Production Department in plant and equipment monitoring.
- Provide process engineering deliverables for capital projects e.g. project initiation, Design basis, HAZOP, LOPA, datasheets, commissioning
- Championing process safety within the business, demonstrating sound understanding of process safety issues, equipment, and standards industry wide
- Participating in the TRONOX global‘Centre of Excellence’ program.
- Leading the development and implementation of innovation analytical tools for the business
To be successful in your application, you will ideally possess:
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering or another relevant discipline;
- Significant post graduate experience in process engineering, ideally gained within a similarly complex fixed plant environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian standards
- Collaborative with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Team oriented, process, and results focused with a demonstrated track record in facilitating change and achieve results.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement, problem solving, and analytical tools / techniques
- Experience of structured incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques
- Desire to challenge the status quo, identify problems, and implement solutions
