About the role:

The Martech Lead is accountable for leading the implementation & operations of Marketing Technology capabilities, working in partnership with the wider Brand & Customer Experience areas to ensure teams are enabled through fit-for-purpose technology to enable and achieve marketing targets.

This is achieved by ensuring governance over the design & configuration of technology, leading subsequent projects and/or BAU activities that maintain & enhance the technology stack. This role also focuses on advancing Brand & Customer Experience towards a data maturity & compliance target state, achieved by completing activities on the data maturity roadmap.

More specifically, you will:

  • Contribute to the vision & future direction of the MarTech stack.
  • Mentor/coach team members to develop their technical knowledge.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day operations of support teams with respect to prioritisation, requirements, development, implementation and testing of enhancements to solutions.
  • Work with business unit stakeholders and external agencies to understand & refine data requirements.
  • Communicate to business unit stakeholders on progress of project and BAU work.
  • Expand working knowledge across a variety of Marketing Technology platforms.
  • Provide advice on correct use of technology solutions & interpretation of data.
  • Provide support for enquiries & incidents on technology solutions.
  • Troubleshoot data queries & other incidents, working with internal and 3rd party support teams as required.
  • Develop, maintain & complete maturity roadmap activities to achieve B&CX’s data maturity & compliance targets.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of data governance to mentor the wider B&CX community on data governance practices.

About You:

  • Tertiary degree in technology-related discipline (desired)
  • 3+ years working within or supporting Digital Marketing/eCommerce teams.
  • 3+ years' experience using analytics solutions - Adobe Experience Cloud / Google Marketing Platform (Analytics, A/B testing, DMP’s)
  • 1+ years' experience using tag management solutions – Ensighten / Google Tag Manager / Adobe Data Collection
  • Working knowledge of the marketing technology landscape to understand & communicate the role of various technologies in a martech ecosystem.
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and managing an ecosystem of connected digital capabilities (e.g., Adobe Experience Cloud, analytics / measurement / optimisation solutions)
  • Some experience managing budgets, vendor contracts.

Key Capabilities:

  • Proficient understanding with respect to the role of various marketing automation technologies (Adobe Experience Cloud Suite, Google Marketing Platform Suite, Adobe Target)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship and influencing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to challenge the status quo to ensure implementation is following best practice.
  • Proficient knowledge of workflow & knowledge management tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Able to translate and communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong organisation skills to manage a broad range of responsibilities and priorities.
  • Able to form virtual teams & lead projects.
