Ready to elevate your career to new heights as our Release Operations Manager? This isn't just a job; it's a leadership opportunity within the Federal Government realm, right here at Kinetic IT. Join us in a fixed term Full-time capacity up to July 2025, stationed strategically in the customer site in Canberra Civic ACT, working in standard business hours (no shift work required) with the added benefit of hybrid working arrangements for optimal flexibility.

As a leader embedded within our prestigious Federal Government client's environment, you'll leverage your expertise to orchestrate the Release Practices within the Service Integration & Management (SIAM) framework. This entails overseeing team resourcing and the delivery of specified services, roster/shift management and workforce planning to ensure the day-to-day effectiveness of service provision, and meeting targets.

ABOUT YOU

You excel in building collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and Service Providers, crafting and executing Release & Deployment practices that not only align with policies but also set industry standards. You're adept at driving the implementation and meticulously maintaining Master Release plans, planning and executing releases, leading Release forums, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Ability to obtain & hold an Australian Government Clearance
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of Release Process professionals, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a positive work culture.
  • Bringing a deep understanding of IT Service Management frameworks, as well as expertise in Release Management processes and tools.
  • Proficiency in overseeing complex release practises, including resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to make informed decisions quickly and confidently, considering both short-term needs and long-term implications within the SIAM ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing organisational change associated with implementing new release processes, tools, or technologies.
  • Dedication to continuous learning and improvement, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance Release processes and drive operational excellence.
