Position: Chief Claims Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a large-scale claims operation spanning across the country, overseeing over 1,000 FTEs and a senior leadership team of eight.
  • Manage the full end-to-end claims process, including lodgment, claims management, supply chain, recoveries and settlements, quality assurance, and complaints handling.
  • Oversee an annual claims expenditure of $2 billion.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with regulatory bodies and manage regulatory responses.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through effective leadership, training, and support across all teams.
  • Drive innovation and change with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Manage operational budgets, claims expenditures, and profitability.
Key Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a scalable claims operation with the ability to expand operations in line with business growth.
  • Proven financial management skills with significant experience in handling claims and operational budgets, delivering consistent profitability.
  • A deep technical knowledge of the home and motor portfolio within the claims environment
  • Strong innovative skills with a focus on driving efficiencies and process enhancements.
  • Deep understanding of the regulatory framework within the home and motor insurance portfolio.
  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking abilities, including the capability to interpret various data sets to identify opportunities.
