Our client is one of Australia’s leading industrial and construction product manufacturers and wholesalers with a 60 year heritage and strong brands. They have established this position through a deep commitment to innovation, quality, vertical integration and operational excellence. The company has a number 1 or number 2 position in its channels to market which sell into Construction, Manufacturing, Mining, Oil & Gas, Transport Infrastructure and Utilities. Given their current growth strategy, the business is looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer.
As a key member of an experienced senior management team, the Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for driving growth through the finance function but also with broad responsibility for supporting IT, HR, Legal, and Operations. You will be responsible for managing the organisation’s financial planning and accounting practices to provide an overall view of performance and maximise profitability. This will include delivering high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and commercial insight to all relevant stakeholders, which will also enable the organisation to determine future financial targets and strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for identifying and leading the implementation of continuous improvement projects throughout the business.
We are seeking a seasoned and commercial Chief Financial Officer, you will have strong experience in elevating a finance function through systems, processes and people. You will also bring exposure to identifying and driving M&A opportunities to support the continued growth of the business. Given the nature of the business, experience within the manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution industries is essential.

As a leader, you will have excellent communication skills to build strong relationships across the senior management team, as well as the broader business and external stakeholders. You will be strategic and also remain right across the detail in order to confidently drive strategic initiatives and foster collaboration.
