Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Lead is a hands-on role, where you will lead and support your team to execute high volume of recruitment in a fast-paced environment. In this role you will be part of the Talent Acquisition broader leadership team where you will work closely with, and have responsibility for recruitment activity across a number of airlines and businesses within the Qantas Group. You will assist in the design, selection, and management of market strategies, as well as execute a premium candidate experience for all Operations and Engineering recruitment activities. across our multiple airlines. You will be instrumental in delivering best-in-class solutions, add value and drive outcomes by bringing your expertise and vision to the Qantas Group.

Your success in the role will see you maintaining a positive 'can-do' attitude, being persistent in delivering a world-class service to the Qantas Group whilst providing leadership, coaching and mentoring to the members of your team to ensure their growth, development and performance. Thinking outside the square to design attraction and talent pool strategies aligned to work force planning requirements as well as driving pro-active sourcing across the broader team will be a key focus of the role.

You’ll have – 

Demonstrated market knowledge of talent challenges relevant to Qantas Group talent needs for Operations and Engineering

A strategic mindset, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement 

Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to develop a high-performance culture, managing through change and deliver results through influence and collaboration

Demonstrated expertise in assessment and selection tools and technology, leading competency-based interviews and group Assessment Centres

High level of consultation, negotiation and interpersonal relationship skills used to consult with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

Experience delivering efficiencies via technology using Workday and Smart Recruiter or another recruitment system

Sound analytical and reporting capability

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and ability to perform under tight deadlines in a high-volume and fast-paced environment

A flexible approach based upon changing business needs and workload allocation

An understanding of HR and IR laws and their impact on the recruitment process
