About the Job
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Delivery – Manage data projects from initiation through to closure. Ensure efficient and timely monitoring and reporting to required stakeholders.
- Financial Management – Manage the preparation of project cost estimates for gating submission/funding approval, and subsequently manage and report project delivery against agreed costs.
- Benefit Management –Monitor benefits against what was predicted in the business case and ensure all participants are informed and involved throughout the change programme.
- Stakeholder management – Engage, inform and negotiate with regulatory change stakeholders, particularly the sponsor, impacted Rest business units, vendors and parties responsible for the services after project completion
- Project Governance – Adherence to Rest delivery methodology and governance framework
- Partner and vendor management – Manage vendors to deliver solutions for the project.
- Risk and Issue Management – Effectively manage risks and issues by identifying and documenting risks and issues to projects and developing effective mitigation/management strategies according to Rest risk framework.
- Lead, mentor and guide project team members.
About You:
- Project Management Certification e.g. PMI/Prince 2 Certification or equivalent Scrum master/Agile certification
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- 5+ years Project Management experience managing budgets of $1M plus and some experience in running projects in an agile environment.
- 5+ experience in a compliance, technical, regulatory engagement or related role within financial services
- Experience in leading Data Platform, Data Lake or Data warehouse projects
- Experience in leading regulatory projects and/or delivery of solution planning, development and delivery of projects with multiple streams to budget, time and quality standards.
- Leading, managing and motivating multi-disciplinary project delivery team, consisting of both internal and external (contractors and vendors).
- Managing financial and performance analysis with extensive project reporting.
- Leading the development and application of best practice project management approaches and methodologies.
- Highly developed strategic, analytical, problem solving, issues management and evaluation skills to deliver innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, consultation, negotiation and reporting/presentation skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate a proven record of success in influencing, negotiating with and managing multiple stakeholders at a senior level, to manage and resolve complex issues and disputes and management of diverse stakeholder expectations.
- Ideally possessing experience/good understanding of superannuation and its regulatory environment.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and priorities workloads.
- Experience management projects/change within the Superannuation/Financial Services industry is highly desirable.
