For over 20 years, Bidfood has provided quality ingredients to the Foodservice and catering industry in Australia. With 50+ locations and a team over 2,300 nationwide, Bidfood is recognised as one of the country’s leading distributors in the industry. An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled and motivated professional to fill the role of fulltime National Sales Manager for Venue Caterers. This position could be based in Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney.
About the Role:
Reporting to the National Group Sales Manager, this position is responsible for managing key national customers across our catering business. The long-term relationship with the customer is critical to the success of National Sales, so wherever possible, the National Sales Manager helps the customer to manage and develop their business. This requires a friendly and helpful manner with an astute knowledge of our products and services and the ability to be a team player.
Duties:
- Develop and maintain effective head office customer relationships including site visits
- Plan and implement strategies to achieve the sales team KPI’s, objectives and budgets
- Manage and lead a team to Identify sales opportunities
- Manage local complaints and issues
- Ensure internal memos and timelines are actioned
- Source products outside normal ranging
- Maintain customer pricing, preferred lists and margins in conjunction with the National Catering support team
- Develop and on-board new customers and business
- Work collaboratively with branches to ensure delivery of service level agreements
- Identify range rationalisation opportunities with customers
Skills and Experience:
- Proven sales experience in managing teams, customer accounts and growing business
- Exceptional negotiation and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad internal and external customer base
- Professional personal presentation
- Self-driven with the ability to work autonomously
- Computer literacy, including the ability to quickly learn internal systems
