Position Overview: NEONICO seeks a genuine “builder”; with demonstrated experience in navigating various construction projects, to join our passionate team. As Project Manager, you will oversee and manage the successful delivery of our unique construction projects, each presenting their own complexities which need to carefully planned and considered. Your role will involve planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. You will coordinate the efforts of team members, subcontractors, and consultants to deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Consider and develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring all project activities are aligned with objectives and timelines.
- Team Management: Lead and motivate project teams, including internal staff, subcontractors and consultants, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Design Management: Lead and coordinate design outcomes in collaboration with consultants and subcontractors that meet project briefs, optimise buildability, and maximise cost efficiency.
- Contract Administration: Oversee contract administration, ensuring compliance with contract terms and effective management of variations and claims.
- Financial Management: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, investigate and procure cost-effective outcomes
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members, providing regular project updates and addressing any issues promptly.
- Quality Control: Ensure all construction activities comply with industry standards and project specifications, delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary or trades qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ full-time experience in the construction industry.
- Strong technical understanding of construction processes and demonstrated experience in construction delivery in challenging environments.
- Proficiency in contract administration and financial management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing high-profile projects, preferably in the hospitality sector.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in usage of Project Management Software including, Procore and MS Project
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
