Experienced Power BI Reporting Analyst
This role is open to candidates from Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. Please kindly note that only candidates who possess AU citizenship/ PR will be considered at this stage.
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced PowerBI Reporting Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making processes through the development and implementation of advanced reporting solutions. If you are passionate about leveraging PowerBI to unlock insights and drive business outcomes, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI reports and dashboards.
- Utilize DAX to create complex calculations and measures.
- Implement semantic model design best practices to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Lead and facilitate workshops with business users to identify reporting needs and opportunities for improvement.
- Document requirements, specifications, and technical designs.
- Guide the Report Development life cycle from conception to deployment.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Apply CI/CD processes and tools to maintain and enhance reporting solutions.
- Utilize agile delivery frameworks (e.g., SCRUM/SAFe) to deliver value iteratively and incrementally.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and work autonomously when required.
- Foster strong working relationships and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in PowerBI development is essential (at least 5-7 years of continuous use)
- Proficiency in writing DAX calculations.
- Strong background in semantic model design within PowerBI.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation and documentation.
- Familiarity with the Report Development life cycle.
- Comfortable leading and facilitating workshops with business stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools.
- Experience with agile delivery frameworks such as SCRUM or SAFe.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively.
