Our client operates as a vital service provider to West Australians. As a part of their digital transformation they will overhaul critical communications. We are seeking skilled Systems Analyst to join their transformation team on a fixed-term contract, as part of this program of work.

This role is crucial in planning, designing, developing, and launching efficient information and operational systems. The successful candidate will leverage their communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to maximise IT systems investments alongside a team of Project Managers, Engineers, Radio Technicians, and IT Specialists.

You will bring with you, knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Unix/Linux, Windows, Cisco Enterprise Network Architecture. Conducting research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations. You have prior proven experience in software and hardware solutions design, development, and implementation. Extra brownie points for those with experience with radio network architecture and applications, network management systems or a background in Public Safety Radio Networks or safety-critical industries like Mining, Rail, Defense.

How will you spend your days?

  • Assist in planning, designing, and deploying new applications and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Meet with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, resolving business systems issues.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of new or enhanced communications systems.
  • Review and analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems, developing strategies for improvement.
  • Support the deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing communications systems.
  • Establish and validate appropriate test cases or scenarios during solution deployment.
  • Create system design proposals and perform cost-benefit and ROI analyses for proposed systems.
  • Develop and maintain reference documentation to support system operations and maintenance.
  • Coordinate and conduct in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes, recommending changes and communicating issues.
  • Develop and document business requirements for the client’s Go-To-Market strategy.
  • Provide technical input on assigned projects and deliver outputs within required timeframes.
  • Support and govern radio vendor project delivery, including QA outcomes and vendor coordination.
