Responsibilities

The position will be within our Sustainable and Positive Impact Finance Solutions department and will report to the Head of Sustainable Finance, Australia and New Zealand. It will be based in Sydney, Australia and will have as main mandate to support the origination and structuring of sustainable financing products, leveraging on our Impact Structuring expertise and to support our clients with structuring and advisory to accelerate the development of innovative solutions and new business models that deliver positive impact, through both our Impact-Based Finance and Social Impact Solutions offering.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Prepare marketing materials to support the origination of Positive Impact Finance opportunities and position SG as a key partner to our clients to accompany them in their sustainability journey
  • Support the structuring of Sustainable Finance products to APAC clients in cooperation with other business lines and coverage teams
  • Contribute to capacity building and spreading knowledge on Sustainable and Positive Impact Finance among teams in different locations (notably through training)
  • Monitor ongoing developments of the ESG regulatory landscape globally and APAC more particularly
  • Monitor market / technological developments in relevant sectors and countries with the assistance of business lines and business units

Please note that for the missions outside the European countries, a VISA is necessary. Please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure. Otherwise, we strongly advise you to launch asap the renewal of your passport.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance, Economics, Business or similar
  • A previous experience in a sustainability related field would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English and in French (B2-C1)

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office
  • Good communication and presentationskills
  • Able to cooperate with different teams notably remotely
  • Able to prioritize and operate under tight deadlines

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Australia is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
