The role & the team

As our Head of People & Culture, you'll play a pivotal role in driving people and culture initiatives that enable employee engagement, productivity, and performance across our hybrid workforce. This isn't just a role; it's a pathway to becoming our next Chief People Officer over the next 1-2 years.

Day to day

  • Strategy Development: Develop and drive Shippit's People & Culture strategy to enhance organisational performance and hold accountability for improving employee engagement.
  • Employee Engagement: Manage employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, feedback sessions, and action plans to drive necessary changes.
  • Workforce Planning & Organisational Design: Partner with executive leadership team on proactive workforce planning and advise on efficient organisational design and structure.
  • Talent Acquisition: Own the attraction and acquisition of top talent, including collaboration with Finance on budgets and approvals and hiring managers on solving their team capacity needs.
  • Leadership & Learning: Oversee learning & development, talent management, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
  • People Operations & Onboarding: Review, enhance, and align P&C policies with company strategy. Manage the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, development, and exit processes.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Maintain clear policies and provide expert advice on workplace issues, legal compliance, and people operations administration for M&A.
  • Employee Experience & Office Management: Manage facilities and support staff, focusing on hybrid working practices.
  • Wellbeing, Diversity, and Inclusion: Foster a culture of wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Communication & Events: Manage company-wide events including the annual Summit and weekly all-hands meetings together with the Workplace Experience Specialist.
  • P&C Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing People & Culture team as ambassadors of Shippit's culture which includes People & Talent Partnering and Workplace Experience.
