Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Based near Baulkham Hills with on-site parking and a flexible working environment, our client is an instantly recognisable retail institution, and they are looking to appoint a Commercial Manager/FP&A Manager into a newly created position within the finance function. With a commitment to bringing dynamic people into the organisation, this promises to be an excellent opportunity for an experienced FP&A/Business Partner to excel in a true value add role with opportunities to grow. This is a contract opportunity initially, with the possibility of going permanent.

  • Preparation of the monthly management report including: - Monthly Flash Report components - Monthly Consolidated Management Report
  • Quarterly P&L and Cashflow forecasts
  • P&L review
  • Coordination of the Budgeting process in conjunction with Financial Controller and Manager - Corporate Planning
  • Variance analysis
  • Financial modelling
  • Perform high quality revenue and spend analysis, identifying key drivers of performance and levers for managing spend
  • Support preparation of budgets
  • Assist with month-end reporting
  • Facilitate the load of approved budgets into the appropriate systems
  • Adhoc analysis
  • Assist with continuous adhoc process improvement projects

To be considered for the role, you will be CA / CPA qualified with at least 3 years post qualified experience working within a similar commercial role. Candidates will need to have had experience within retail and in particular working within the ecommerce space, to be considered for this role.

You will have a proven track record to apply an analytical and commercial approach to decision making within the retail space. Strong with excel, you are extremely comfortable with extracting and manipulating data. Exposure to Shopify will be highly advantageous. You will also enjoy working with non-finance stakeholders and adding commercial value by partnering with the business.
