The Role: 

The Time & Attendance Team Leader (Kronos) is responsible for the oversight and governance of the Time & Attendance process, policies, pay practices and technology.
The incumbent provides developmental and leadership support to the Payroll Time & Attendance specialists and is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state wage, hour regulations and supporting the company's product supply and manufacturing sites across Australia.
This role requires an extremely detailed orientated person with significant knowledge of Kronos, end to end payroll, workforce management, compensation, and payroll administration.

  • Leadership, development, and performance management of the Payroll Time & Attendance specialists (your direct reports)
  • Responsible for the successful evaluation, creation, implementation, and execution of time solutions in accordance with pay practices and policies
  • Drive time & pay practice standardisation, automation, and improvement
  • Use data driven insights to provide strategic direction and expertise regarding the Time & Attendance function measuring and acting on KPIs, along with creating and driving short-term and long-term strategies for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy of time & labor inputs, ensure process adherence for time & labor inputs into HRIS time & labor system, forecasting labor costs based on historical time & labor and payroll data
  • Develop understanding of business performance drivers.
  • Support development of dashboards and KPI tools to analyse time & pay historical data, create stories to provide to key stakeholders which will enable data-driven decision-making
  • Assist manufacturing plant(s), product supply sites /and or corporate functions with identifying, analysing, and executing cost savings opportunities for time & labor
  • Ensure that all company pay practices, and pay policies are compliant with wage & hour laws, federal and state regulations and with the company’s policies and procedures
  • Review, design, develop, recommend, and implement updated time & payroll-related policies and procedures as needed
  • Drive results on special projects, initiatives, and goals in an agile and rapid cycle environment
  • Responsible for ensuring SLAs are met on inquiries from our employees and managers
  • Assist with issue resolution with IT, vendors and payroll + HR teams
  • Manage and support 3rd party vendor partners

The Candidate: 

You will be a highly self-motivated & organised individual looking to take your passion for payroll to the next level

Some qualities you must possess to be considered for this role are:
  • 4+ years of payroll experience
  • 3+ years of advanced Kronos experience
  • 4+ years of time & attendance experience
  • Strong coaching skills and demonstrated ability to influence & motivate others
  • Confidence in autonomous decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time-keeping activities in support of complex labor policies and legislation
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data privacy regulations
  • Strong proficiency in common workforce and labor management solutions including Kronos (UKG), SAP & SuccessFactors
  • Experience working with manufacturing and union environments
  • In-depth knowledge of top-tier payroll + time & attendance systems
  • Experience in managing teams of 2 or more direct reports

It is mandatory to be advanced with SAP, SuccessFactors & Kronos
