Job DescriptionPrimary purpose of the role
The Project Officer / Coordinator is a key support role for the Project Manager, facilitating the smooth operation and execution of projects within the organization. This position acts as a vital link between project management and the various teams involved, ensuring project objectives are met through effective coordination and support of project management activities.
Key accountabilities
Coordinate and monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to support successful project execution.
Facilitate the development and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
Implement and oversee document control procedures to ensure the integrity and accessibility of project information.
Assist in financial management of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of project expenditures.
Support project teams by coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
Contribute to the development and implementation of project management standards, tools, and best practices.
Engage in stakeholder management activities to maintain effective communication and alignment among project stakeholders.
Participate in quality assurance processes, ensuring project outputs meet the required standards and objectives.
Provide administrative and logistical support to project teams, ensuring they have the necessary resources and information.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes through the collection and analysis of project data.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Chief Financial Officer to support DRA’s strategic objectives.
Navigating the complexities of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
Maintaining effective communication with diverse stakeholder groups, including team members, senior management, and external partners.
Adapting to changes in project scope, deadlines, and resources in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Facilitating collaboration and consensus among project team members and stakeholders with varying objectives and perspectives.
Key relationships
This position directly reports to the Program Manager. Other key relationships include:
Relevant DRA employees involved in planning and project activities
Variety of internal DRA stakeholders including Project Managers and Senior Leaders
External vendors and service providers

Prior experience within Defence will be highly regarded.
