Transmin is in search of an ambitious and goal-orientated General Sales Manager to oversee our Capital Equipment division. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and guiding the Capital Sales and Business Development team, with an emphasis on propelling sales and cultivating a robust sales pipeline. We are looking for a dynamic leader who can drive results and motivate the team to success.
Transmin is a world-class provider of innovative engineered equipment, aftermarket parts and services to the mining resources and bulk material handling industries, throughout Australia and Internationally. Established over 35 years ago and with our headquarters in Malaga, Perth we have a broad customer base in the mining and minerals processing industry.
About the Role
- Develop and manage sound sales strategies for each region and product group in conjunction with key internal stakeholders (technical and commercial) to ensure the market share of all product ranges is growing year on year;
- Develop and grow key external client networks at senior levels;
- Drive efficiency in the internal sales processes to ensure the sales team provide seamless and efficient conversion of sales opportunities;
- Manage, lead, motivate, mentor, and support a team of internal and external Sales, Business Development and Marketing staff;
- Actively identify and mange risk in project tendered, either technical or commercial and drive mitigation strategies;
- Take accountability for achieving Transmin’s Capital Equipment Sales targets in accordance with company budgets;
- Manage the post bid TQ and CQ clarifications with the Sales and Product Verticals teams.
About You
The successful candidate must have the following;
- Proficient in effectively managing and inspiring sales teams, adept in detailed reporting, budgeting, and planning techniques, with a track record of successfully negotiating terms and conditions for commercial contracts.
- Extensive experience in direct sales to mining and minerals processing industries including EPCM’s;
- Demonstrate the ability to prepare tenders, proposals, and estimates;
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in business/engineering or an equivalent tertiary sales and marketing certification/diploma.
