Adelaide, Österreich Regional Express (Rex) Vollzeit

An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and highly motivated person to join the Rex Airport Team as the Charter Coordinator. This is a full-time role based in Adelaide.

Reporting:

This position reports to the National Airports Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident / injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position
  • Coordinate FBO movements and act as the primary contact for the Adelaide Fixed based Operation (FBO) and the NJE operation in SA
  • Oversee freight charter movements and coordinate airport handling activities,
  • Managing the end-to-end FBO charter process including acceptance, pricing, securing third party contractor services and coordination onsite for arrival and departing aircraft
  • Assist with hands on Ramp, Catering and Customer Service training for Rex Group and third-party staff on a regular basis
  • Be willing to travel to Rex Group Outports to conduct Ramp and Customer Service training
  • Be proficient in all duties as a Leading Hand, ASO, Catering officer and Customer Service Officer
  • Liaise with other departments and suppliers to manage day-to-day matters including GSE serviceability, performing GSE checks, sourcing, maintenance schedules and testing
  • Assist with interviewing and recruitment of new staff
  • In concert with the Rex Group & QF Safety Department, investigate any safety-related or dangerous goods issues and implement, or where appropriate recommend the implementation, of any corrective action or procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records of all FBO, NJE & Pel-Air activity for performance analysis and billing purposes
  • Perform operational Ramp and Customer Service shift duties on a regular basis for the Rex Group
  • Provide administrative support to the Rex Group such as raising purchase orders, rostering, reviewing invoices, review and maintain stock levels etc.
  • Assist with development of training and perform on-the-job training of staff (in liaison with Airport Services Ground Training Manager)
  • Relieve the Ramp and Catering Manager and/or Airport Administration Assistant when required
  • Coordinate and Organise FBO building maintenance and oversee/maintain the NJE terminal facilities
  • The nature of this role means that shift work, after hours and weekend work will be required
  • Support the Ramp Manager and Airport Manager in day to day operations
  • Other duties as reasonably requested

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Conversant with major airport operations and regularity requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage a high workload under pressure with changing priorities.
  • Excellent Organisational skills.
  • Ability to liaise with both internal and external customers effectively.
  • High standard customer service and problem solving skills.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and to be self-motivated.
  • High degree of computer literacy.
  • Able to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) and ADA (Authority to Drive Airside)
