Government Department are looking for a Systems Accountant & Financial Business Analyst to support the Trust's financial operations by ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective system management. This includes maintaining financial records, integrating data between systems, addressing and resolving financial system issues, and implementing process improvements. The role also involves managing fixed asset accounting and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standards, all to aid the Finance team in providing valuable financial insights across the department.

INCLUDED IN WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Maintain the Trust's chart of accounts, cost centres, and project codes to ensure efficient financial reporting.
  • Manage and support data integrations between the department and financial systems.
  • Identify, document, and resolve financial system and business process issues, and implement improvements, including addressing audit recommendations.
  • Assist the Finance team in delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting and analysis across all areas of the department.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting.
  • Implement, monitor, and review relevant policies, procedures, and standards.

INCLUDED IN WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Must have relevant tertiary qualification and professional membership of CPA/CA.
  • Preferably experience of having work within a Government Department.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Experience balancing competing priorities with limited resources.
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Confidence in managing a large and diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Understanding and integrating multiple financial and business systems.
  • Grasp both legacy and current business processes to identify areas for improvement.

MUST HAVE clear police check, Australian Permanent Residency or citizenship and reside in NSW.
