About the position

The Deputy Project Manager provides project management support to Program and Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle on 
all elements of project management. Responsibilities extend to acting on behalf of Program and Project 
Managers when delegated to do so and managing smaller projects when assigned.

This Deputy Project Manager is responsible for:

  • Supporting Program and Project Managers with the management of assigned projects.
  • Fostering and maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers, and other internal and external 
    stakeholders.
  • Administering customer and supplier contracts.
  • Preparing and updating project plans, documents and other project administration.
  • Preparing and updating project schedules and monitor progress with respect to key milestones and 
    deadlines.
  • Preparing and updating project finance documents and forecasts and monitor progress with respect to 
    budgets
  • Experience in project and resource management, planning, scheduling, and project finance within 
    complex projects.
  • The ability to deliver results by arranging workflow, determining priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with autonomy.
  • Understanding of Defence Procurement and Contracting.

To be eligible for this position you must be:

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance (NV1)

The successful candidate MUST be able to obtain clearance prior to commencement.
