The Head of Music is responsible for the administration and implementation of the Music Curriculum across Years 7 to 12, together with College's extensive co-curricular program. As Head of Music, the leader guides and manages a team of teachers to deliver a high-quality program that promotes excellence. The Head of Music works collaboratively with the Heads of Department Team within the College and reports to the Assistant Principal- Learning.

Head of Music responsibilities include:

  • Planning, programming and teaching of Music across all Stages.
  • Providing leadership and direction to faculty staff ensuring that day-to-day activities run smoothly, and that the faculty delivers to their creative, operational and budgetary plans. 
  • Strategic data analysis to inform teaching strategies.
  • Overseeing the coordination and operation of the instrumental and vocal extra-curricular programs across the College.
  • Ability to direct, conduct, arrange and compose for musical ensembles.
  • Inspiring students and staff to achieve their best results.
