As a member school of Good Samaritan Education, St Scholastica’s College takes pride in educating young women who, with justice and compassion, will make a difference in the world.

The Head of Religion is responsible for the administration and implementation of the Religious Education Curriculum across Years 7 to 12. As Head of Religion, the leader guides and manages a team of teachers to deliver a high-quality program that promotes excellence. The Head of Religion works collaboratively as a member of the Mission Team and the Heads of Department Team within the College and reports to the Assistant Principal- Learning.

Religious leadership responsibilities include:

  • Witnessing to and promoting the life of Jesus Christ and the Gospel values
  • Developing a culture of effective teaching and learning grounded in Catholic faith and tradition
  • Providing leadership as a role model in the charism of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan
  • Giving witness to the faith and setting an example of faith, hope and love in word and action

  • Work collaboratively to deliver excellence, both academic and pastoral;
