Our People and Partnerships team partner with leaders to provide efficient, solution-focused, and innovative people services which support the department to deliver strategies, programs and services that improve the wellbeing and safety of South Australians.

Role Details
Wellbeing and Safety Business Partner is a role within People and Performance and is accountable to the Manager Wellbeing and Safety (WS) for:

  • Providing expert WS advice that supports the Department to fulfil its legislated obligations under the relevant Acts and Regulations, standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Leading the WS Business Partners in supporting Managers to identify, assess and control workplace hazards and risks effectively through an integrated risk management approach.
  • Building the capacity of leaders in risk management, WS consultation, issue resolution, performance measurement and safety leadership.
  • Providing WS advice in the development of Divisional strategies, advocating for an approach to eliminate, or minimise as far as reasonably practical, WS risks to the department.
  • Monitor current and potential WS risks and hazards in the workplace, participating in Divisional / business unit level hazard assessments and assisting to develop controls for identified hazards. 

Special Conditions
National Police Check required.

Some out of hours work may be required.

Relevant qualifications in work health and safety Demonstrate extensive knowledge and practicable application of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 and associated regulations.

Essential Qualifications
WHS qualifications at a tertiary standard and/or extensive equivalent experience in a Wellbeing and Safety environment.
