Are you an experienced Operations Manager looking to make a name for yourself?

  • Responsible for day-to-day equipment rental operations in the heavy construction industry

  • Fulltime based near Brisbane airport (plus site visits)

ROBAR Rentals (robarrentals.com.au) is a specialised provider of modern, reliable equipment for the civil construction industry. We offer WET and DRY plant hire to a wide array of construction companies and projects, regardless of their scale or location. Our head office is located in Brisbane and is complemented by a regional office in South Australia.

This Operations Manager role offers a rare opportunity for an experienced leader to stamp their mark on future operational processes and success and be rewarded for the success you create.

In addition to proven project management, operational experience in the construction industry and a strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment, you will need to possess the following attributes that we believe will position you to be a successful high performer in this role:

  • Love being practical and really enjoy knowing how things work
  • Known to jump at the chance to help others when you see they require assistance
  • Have the ability to take complex information and successfully communicate it to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Can analyse numbers and data with ease, you readily see mistakes in data sets
  • Are patient and methodical and most effective in a more relaxed environment
  • Always ready to step up and take the lead but also possess the confidence to allow others to lead when this could result in a better outcome
  • Your friends would say that you are quite reserved but are very animated when you are passionate about a subject
  • Having a proven process and then adhering to it is important to you, you don’t support unrequired change
  • You are very good at recognising potential issues that could arise, you have a heathy dose of cynicism
  • When making decisions you are highly objective and you do not procrastinate
  • Deadlines are important to you and you pro-actively hold others accountable for their actions
