The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.

About the RoleThe position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer-focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Supervise control room officers
- Monitor CCTV footage to ensure that assets are protected, to detect any signs of a security breach
- Escalate issues if any to relevant MSS managers
- Maintain logs, completing necessary paperwork and use of computer systems
- Respond professionally, courteously and promptly to all customer enquiries
Verifiable experience in supervisory roles in Control room, guarding
Current VIC Security Licence with control room licence
Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
Victorian driver's licence
Current First Aid and CPR
