Procurement Manager

Our NSW Government client is seeking a Procurement Manager to join on an initial contract until 14/02/2025 with view to extend.
Procurement Manager | Up to $950 per day + super | Until 14/02/2025, view to extend | Sydney CBD / WFH Hybrid | NSW Government
The Role:
Deliver the procurement and sourcing process including strategic planning and execution, sourcing and contract management, supply market management and development, and risk management activities ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, to achieve best value for money and meet stakeholder expectation and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the team to ensure efficient procurement and sourcing, adhering to government standards to meet organisational objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks across commercial, contractual, and supply chain areas, fostering opportunities for innovation.
- Handle complex supply arrangements and contracts to achieve cost savings and high-quality outcomes.
- Oversee contract activities, enhancing capability in customer service and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide expert advice on procurement to support innovative practices and business strategies.
- Develop and implement best practice procurement strategies to optimise value for money.
- Manage supplier relationships to minimise risks and ensure service excellence.
- Lead the creation of evidence-based procurement strategies and policies for quality and cost-effective outcomes.
Key Knowledge and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement or contract management, or equivalent professional experience in a procurement environment.
