HOOKIPA’s pipeline includes wholly-owned investigational arenaviral immunotherapeutics targeting HPV16+ cancers, prostate cancer, KRAS-mutated cancers (including colorectal, pancreatic and lung), and other undisclosed projects. In addition, the company aims to develop functional cures of HBV and HIV in collaboration with Gilead.

**Position Summary**:
We are looking for a highly motivated Lab Technician to manage our routine cell-culture activities. The main focus of the Preclinical Analytical Development Department is to perform and optimize assays for testing and characterization of our products. This position is a part of the routine assay testing team with 10-15 laboratory technicians. This position is primarily laboratory based.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Organize and manage the routine cell culture activities within a small team
- Plan and execute on all routine cell culture activities (cell culture, cell banks, mycoplasma testing, FBS sourcing, etc.)
- Create, maintain and update cell-culture relevant documentation and trending
- Organize and host regular cell culture meetings with team members and costumers
- Testing, stockkeeping and requesting of cell culture consumables (FBS, media, plasticware, etc.)
- Transfer of cell culture methods to external partners

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Scientific education (e.g. HTL - Rosensteingasse, studies in the field of (molecular) biology, biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceuticals or food industry)
- 2-4 years of experience with human cell culture and associated activities (freezing, thawing, cell-banking, etc. )
- Attention to detail and organizational tasks
- Independent, well-organized and proactive work style
- Able to develop and maintain an overview for cell culture activities
- Able to pilot the cell culture workflow
- Open-minded, communicative and reliable team-player
- Able to multi-task and work under time pressure on multiple projects
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Valid EU working permit

We are required by Austrian law to post a minimum salary. The minimum monthly gross salary for this position is EUR 2.754;
- based on fulltime (40 hours per week); depending on experience and qualification salary can be negotiated. In addition, we offer a performance-related bonus payment and participation in our stock option compensation program.
