**About the job**
We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual join our team as Program Manager, Culture (maternity cover). Reporting to the Program Director, Culture, you will be a key player in driving the goals of our Culture Program Pillar. Responsibilities include overseeing the planning and implementation of program activities, cultivating relationships with program stakeholders and engaging our networks, contributing to program design, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
The position is based at Schloss Leopoldskron, home of Salzburg Global Seminar in Salzburg, Austria.
**Responsibilities Include**
**Culture Program Planning and Implementation**
- Implement program objectives through effective coordination of activities, both in-person and online.
- Manage program planning, development, and timeline in collaboration with the Program Director, ensuring timely updates for stakeholders and effective post-session documentation.
- Develop program materials adhering to institutional guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison for various departments at Salzburg Global Seminar, including Communications, Operations, and Hospitality.
- Supervise Program Interns and Impact Fellow, providing guidance and delegating tasks as needed.
- Contribute to program design and facilitate sessions as appropriate.
**Culture Pillar Network Development and Engagement**
- Build rapport with Salzburg Global Fellows, funders, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate on a Fellowship engagement strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Stay updated on relevant topics, sharing insights with the Program Director to enhance program effectiveness.
- Lead communications strategy for the Culture program pillar, ensuring recruitment effectiveness and impactful communication outputs.
- Represent Salzburg Global and the program pillar at global events and conferences.
**Organizational Responsibilities**
- Support organizational improvement by sharing learnings and best practices and improving processes.
- Provide input and manage projects related to the curation of Schloss Leopoldskron aligned with DEI strategy, as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the DEI taskforce, defining and executing tasks and strategies to further develop our work in this field.
**Compensation**
- A salary of EUR 35,543 per year before tax and commensurate with experience.
- Standard Austrian benefits include health insurance, pension contributions, sick pay, and 25 days of annual leave.
- Salzburg Global-specific perks include free daily staff lunch, annual staff social events, special rates for Schloss Leopoldskron, and discounts to local tourism attractions.
**Minimum qualifications**
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in program management, preferably in a cultural or nonprofit setting.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to juggle different tasks simultaneously and prioritize projects efficiently.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
**Preferred qualifications**
- Experience or interest in working in a cross-cultural, multi-country context, preferably with experience of engaging a wide group of professionals.
- Experience or interest in working in one of the program topics within the Culture program portfolio.
