Wien, Österreich EIT Manufacturing Vollzeit

As a Business Development & Innovation Officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering EIT Manufacturing’s open innovation commercial services to startups, SMEs, and mid-cap corporations. Your mission will be to promote collaboration and offer innovative solutions to address the most pressing challenges in European manufacturing.

In this role, you will:
Key Responsibilities:

- **Portfolio Management**: Build and manage a portfolio of startups, SMEs, and mid-cap corporations across Northern Europe, aligned with EIT Manufacturing’s mission and strategy.
- **Client Engagement**: Collaborate with companies to understand their needs, focusing on digital transformation and sustainability challenges.
- **Opportunity Development**: Identify and facilitate commercial opportunities and collaborations between SMEs, mid-cap corporations, and startups.
- **Startup Ecosystem Engagement**: Work with ecosystems across Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, and Croatia to identify high-potential startups and structure collaborations.
- **Strategic Projects**: Analyze business challenges, conduct research, and provide actionable recommendations for manufacturing clients.
- **Market Research**: Perform thematic studies and market research to guide strategic decisions in the manufacturing sector.
- **Data Management**: Analyze CRM data and support strategic roadmaps for growth.
- Materials Development: Create professional business materials to support sales and client engagement.
- **Project Management**: Oversee EIT Manufacturing co-funded projects and coordinate with headquarters.

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovation and growth in manufacturing by working with key stakeholders and leveraging regional startup ecosystems.

What we expect:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as business, economics, or engineering.
- At least 2 years relevant full-time work experience in challenging, business-related environments.
- Proven ability to work independently with a willingness to take on responsibility.
- Highly analytical and structured thinking.
- Outstanding written, oral, and presentation skills in both German and English are mandatory.
- Strong team spirit, proactiveness, autonomy, and trustworthiness.
- Willingness to travel within Austria and Europe.
- Interest in innovation management, technology, entrepreneurship, and internationalization.
