Description:
The Sales Director Austria shall manage and develop the organization for Sales of Elekta's product portfolio, service, project management and follow up.

To cover all business activities in Austria

This position is evaluated on achieving overall business results including business volume, revenue and contribution goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- To define and report the market potential and needs for all ELEKTA products in the geographic area of responsibility
- To sell ELEKTA solutions including Services in the geographic area of responsibility
- To negotiate customer contracts on al customer levels (administrators, med. Doctors, med.physics, etc.)
- To support customers in establishing business plans
- To represent Elekta Austria on national and international congresses and meetings
- To define market activities within the area
- To budget sales and profit goals for the defined market
- To develop new and established client relationships
- To report activities, prospective sales, actual orders and sales, customer projects and business opportunities / Threats monthly
- To actively interact with other functions and operations within the Elekta Group to ensure timely delivery of products as well as giving active market input to the product development process
- Measure and review the operative performance and report to the BU Manager
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers with respect to sales projects within the geographic area of responsibility
- To establish a creative, dynamic and empowered open work environment integrating the Elekta Values
- Measure and review the operative performance and report to BU-Manager
- Ensure that all activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal laws, and Elekta Quality standards and policies

Relevant Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- Bachelors Degree requires (science, clinical or business oriented) or equivalent knowledge acquired through business experience
- Minimum 10 years medical business experience &at least 5 years proven sales / marketing experience
- Fluent in English with good multicultural experience and skills
- Strong knowledge /understanding of all Elekta products and services
- Strong knowledge /understanding of Indirect/Distributor Marketing and Sales
- Strong knowledge /understanding of the markets for Elekta's product portfolio. Solid knowledge and experience of the medical devices industry generally
- Entrepreneurial and sales oriented personality
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required. Skilled speaker and representative in social contacts
- Excellent team player at all levels with strong interpersonal skills Personality based on strong ethical standard, values and good judgement Persistent, enduring and prepared to make strong personal commitments
- Ability to effectively interact directly with customers across all disciplines (technologists, medical physicists, radiation oncologists, neurosurgeons, administrators etc.)
- Effective negotiator
- Ability to influence key managers to help achieve objectives
- Ability to travel up to 60 % of the time
