Are you ready to make a meaningful impact as the cornerstone of our HR operations in Germany and Austria?

We’re seeking a **People Operations Specialist** to not only manage and enhance established HR processes in Germany but also to play a pivotal role in setting up our Austrian presence from A to Z. This is a unique opportunity to lead the creation and adaptation of policies, contracts, and operational systems while supporting the launch of our Austrian office. You’ll shape the foundation of People Operations in the region, providing guidance, structure, and support to ensure our team thrives.

**About the team**

You’ll join our Global People Team, made up of 10 HR and Talent Acquisition professionals. Reporting directly to our Head of People, you’ll be a core member of both the DACH and global teams, taking ownership of People Operations in the region. Our mission is simple but powerful; to set our people and the company up for success and at the same time ensure that our employees are happy, healthy, and productive. We’re building a workplace where exceptional talent thrives, and this role is integral to that vision.

**What you’ll do**
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees in Germany and Austria on benefits, leave, payroll, policies, and more.
- Build and adapt **policies, contracts, benefits and processes for Austria**, ensuring compliance and alignment with local regulations.
- Take ownership of the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring every team member has a seamless and stellar experience.
- Collaborate regularly with the DACH General Manager, the People Team, and external stakeholders to address employment-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Support various office management tasks in our newly established Vienna office as needed.
- Manage and oversee the monthly Austrian and German payroll cycles.
- Own and execute HR administration, including contracts, addendums, personnel administration, and probation periods.
- Lead and participate in impactful People Team projects to enhance team operations and employee experience.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions to elevate operational excellence across the DACH region.

**You’ll be great for this role if you have**
- +4 years of work experience in Austria as a People Operations, HR Coordinator, or similar role.
- Live within a commutable distance of Vienna, and be willing to come to the office 3 days a week.
- Solid understanding of Austrian employment law and payroll processes.
- Knowledge of German employment law payroll processes.
- Excellent command of German and English language, written and spoken.
- A proactive and positive mindset.

**What We Offer You**
- An impactful role in setting up HR operations in Austria.
- ** €1,500 annual training budget** for your professional growth and personal development.
- A beautiful **canal-side office** in the heart of Amsterdam.
- An inclusive, international work environment with a lot of fun and team spirit.
- ** 25 paid holiday days**
- A monthly fitness subscription through ClassPass.
- A top-of-the-line Apple MacBook to help you do your best work.
- Flexibility to **work from anywhere for 4 weeks per year.**
- ** €400 annual travel budget** to connect with the team in Poland, Paris, or Amsterdam.
- ** €200 home office budget **+ a monthly work-from-home allowance.
