**Your personal sphere of influence**:
The DSHCS offers a 12-months Completion Contract for fellows of the DSHCS who have held a position as University Assistant (predoc) or a PhD position at the University of Vienna before. This Completion Contract aims to support a highly qualified fellow in the final phase of his:her doctoral studies. The recipient will be employed as University Assistants (predoc) and will work at the Department of History.

**Your future tasks**:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

- Your main task is to complete and to submit your dissertation.
- You meet and consult with your supervisor(s) on a regular basis in order to priorities your tasks and to get the necessary support to complete your dissertation successfully in time.
- You participate in your department's and the DSHCS' activities and workshops.
- You participate in conferences and publish research results in peer-reviewed journals.
- You actively seek support (workshops, training, coaching etc.) if necessary.

**This is part of your personality**:
**General expectations**:

- Above-average MA or equivalent in a field of study relevant for the respective position
- Excellent academic and study record (e.g. FÖP within one year, annual submission of progress reports; outstanding publication record etc.)
- High level of motivation and commitment to successfully complete your doctoral studies within the anticipated time frame
- Collaborative, team-minded and pro-active attitude
- High level of written and oral communication skills
- Experience with the structures of the University of Vienna.

**The DSHCS seeks to fill one position which requires the following specializations and skills**:

- You have experience in using AI for digital paleography and historical research.
- You have a master’s degree in Digital Humanities AND in Germanic Philology.
- You have excellent knowledge of Old English and Latin as well as of modern languages (English, French etc.)
