**Senior Scientist**
**at **the **Faculty of Mathematics**

**Reference number***:11949**

**Extent of Employment**: 40 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

We are looking for a highly qualified researcher with special interests in the main area of Mathematical Data Science. The job holder's responsibilities include independent research and holding classes due to extent regulations of wage agreement and the usual administrative duties. We request a Habilitation or the willingness to work towards one. Furthermore the holder of the position will be responsible for the administration of the IT infrastructure (in particular a GPU server) of the research group.

**Profile**:
A Doctoral degree / PhD in mathematics or computer science with the main area of harmonic analysis, signal processing and/or mathematics of deep learning as well as skills and experience of machine learning and GPU computing, and GPU server administration; skills and experience in acting independently in teaching, in research as well as in administration. Past research should be documented by publications in recognized scientific journals.
