Laboratory Data Manager

Our success crucially depends on our ability to rapidly make sense of vast amounts of complementary data, paving the way for truly high throughput AI-first research. We are therefore looking for a **Laboratory Data Manager** based in Vienna who will contribute to our mission to develop better medicines, faster, to people around the world.
**In this position, you will have the opportunity to**:

- Work closely with stakeholders in Target Development, R&D, Bioinformatics, ClinOps, and QM to optimize data handling processes.
- Help establish a LIMS solution to optimize experiment planning and metadata processing.
- Support the continued development of a data warehousing solution for experimental data. In particular, act as a gatekeeper of data and metadata streams, ensuring the high level of data integrity necessary to power AI-first research.
- Work closely with Quality Management to ensure GDocP compliance through an eQMS system.
- Support the creation and maintenance of clinical data management plans, coordinating with external providers.
- Liaison with members of Exscientia’s global data management team to ensure highest standards for data handling across the organization.

**Requirements**:
**Essential**:

- Several years of experience handling biological assay data.
- Knowledge of ontologies / knowledge frameworks.
- Experience in the configuration and management of LIMS.
- Experienced in creation and maintenance of clinical data management plans and the coordination with external providers.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong team player with an inclusive mindset.

**Desirable**:

- Experience as a user of relational database systems such as SQL.
- Prior exposure to simple command based scripts / data pipelining procedures e.g. Python, shell scripts.
- Familiarity with public cancer research databases such as COSMIC, and/or pharmacological databases such as ChEMBL.
