**The position**:
The internship position (10 months duration) should start ideally as soon as possible.

**Tasks & responsibilities**:

- Mining and annotation of large cancer patient and cell line datasets
- Establishment and usage of computational methods to identify cancer drug targets, biomarkers, and combinations thereof
- Documentation of results, analysis scripts and pipelines using Atlassian tools such as Bitbucket
- Presentation of results within the Department

**Requirements**:

- BSc Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related field with first experience in Bioinformatics
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as R and Python
- First experience with command line programming and experience in using Atlassian stack/Bitbucket or Github is a plus
- Precise and reproducible work

- Fluent in English and good communication skills

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for this position is EUR 38.160,22 (full time), although the actual salary is based on your technical skills and personal competencies as well as your professional experience.
