Strategic Health Economics Manager for Innovative Therapies

In support of our existing team, we are seeking a Strategic Health Economics Manager for Innovative Therapies:

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and run outcome research initiatives (HEOR) with a focus on health economic models.
  • Consult the Market Access, Policy & Communication team by designing health economic models to demonstrate portfolio value and support target prices.
  • Shape technical external vendor management for health economic models such as Cost-effectiveness models or Budget impact models.
  • Customize global CE or BIM models for local needs.
  • Effectively communicate health economics, outcomes, and strategic recommendations to colleagues across the organization, fully aligned with the Policy & Communication department.
  • Monitor trends, rules, and policies related to HEOR or HTA for the Austrian hospital landscape to guarantee patient access to therapies and preventive treatments.
  • Collect and analyze local RWD data (incl. epidemiology, burden of disease, healthcare and societal costs) to maintain product-specific value stories.
  • Anticipate developments in the Austrian and EU healthcare systems and their implications for our portfolio.
Qualifications
  • University degree in a health-related field required.
  • Internal- and external stakeholder network an asset.
  • Experiences in an Austrian healthcare agency or provider an asset or minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry required.
  • Gained experiences in the field of health economics and outcome research an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand medical scientific & outcomes data and transfer this in economic and medical context.
  • Very good understanding of healthcare environment, market, and business context.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Visible track record in project management in larger organizations.
  • Above average MS Excel skills and data analytic skills.
  • Experienced in Office365 and MS Teams.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • First experiences with AI-tools.
