Project Risk Engineer

Venergi GmbH is seeking a skilled Project Risk Engineer to join our team in Vienna, Austria. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing the risk of various projects within the decarbonisation space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive risk management plans and strategies to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Facilitate workshops to identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring all aspects of the project align with the established risk framework.
  • Oversee daily risk follow-up and prepare detailed risk reports for project management, steering committees, and regulatory authorities.
  • Travel to customer sites as required to work on designated projects.
About the Role:

You will contribute to diverse projects within energy transition, aiming to decarbonise the city of Vienna by 2040. These projects may include:

  • Modernisation of existing energy production facilities, such as upgrading a waste incineration plant based on the circular economy.
  • Construction of new alternative energy generation plants, such as hydrogen production facilities.
  • Combined generation plants for heating and cooling energy as well as electricity, such as natural gas and renewable energy sources.
  • Waste generation and management, including construction of recycling plants, plants for the treatment of sewage sludge, and phosphorus recovery.

Requirements:
  • A degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency with risk management tools such as RamRisk or equivalent/similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and manage workshops.
  • Project management experience.
  • Fluency in German and English.
