Decarbonization Risk Engineer - Vienna

Ramboll is seeking a skilled Decarbonization Risk Engineer to join our team in Vienna, Austria. As a key member of our energy transition team, you will play a crucial role in managing the risk of various projects aimed at decarbonizing the city.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive risk management plans and strategies to mitigate project risks
  • Facilitate workshops to identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring all aspects of the project align with the established risk framework
  • Oversee daily risk follow-up, preparing detailed risk reports for project management, steering committees, and regulatory authorities
  • Travel to customer sites as required to work on designated projects
About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a pioneering team driving meaningful change in the energy transition landscape. As a Decarbonization Risk Engineer, you will contribute to diverse projects, including modernization of existing energy production facilities, construction of new alternative energy generation plants, hydrogen production, and waste management.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Several years of experience working with qualitative risk analysis, ideally in construction, consulting, or similar industries
  • Proficiency with risk management tools such as RamRisk or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and manage workshops
  • Project management experience
  • Fluency in German and English
