Iron Steelmaking Project Manager Position

At VACE Engineering GmbH, we're seeking a skilled Technical Manager to lead our Iron & Steelmaking Projects. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of metal production.

We offer an attractive salary based on your qualifications and experience, ranging from 80,000 to 120,000 EUR per year, depending on your background and achievements.

Job Description:

Project Preparation

  • You will prepare project-related tender documents in close cooperation with our engineering and technology department.

Supplier Selection and Management

  • You will select the best supplier for each project, taking into account the specific requirements and working closely with our purchasing department and project management.
  • You will track suppliers' progress and ensure that all necessary quality and expediting activities are conducted, and initiate mitigation measures when required.

Customer Documentation and Claim Management

  • You will coordinate the preparation of customer documentation for quality, delivery, erection, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • You will actively contribute to claim management for your equipment, working closely with our purchasing department.

Project Closure and Lessons Learned

  • You will contribute to the project closure process and help identify lessons learned to improve our project management methods and tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of project management methods and tools.
  • Familiarity with contract law and regulations for project business.
  • Experience working in international teams is preferred.
  • Ability to travel internationally for site delegations.
  • Advanced knowledge of English and German languages.
