Steelmaking Solutions Commissioning Manager Role

We invite experienced individuals with strong technical knowledge and project management skills to join our Iron & Steelmaking team at Primetals Technologies.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning of large-scale projects, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. This includes:

  • Full responsibility for the successful commissioning from single function tests to hot commissioning and acceptance of the plant.
  • Management and coordination of commissioning work according to time schedule.
  • Preparation of commissioning schedules and updates with all parties involved.
  • Employment of technical troubleshooting personnel from the site manager.
  • Organization and conduct of personnel training.
  • Management and recording of daily commissioning meetings.
  • Safeguarding rights granted and discharging obligations imposed under project-related contracts regarding commissioning and performance proof.
  • Coordination and preparation of all commissioning checklists, protocols, performance reports, and as-built documentation.

Apart from these key responsibilities, the ideal candidate should have experience in automation, software engineering, project management methods, contract law, and regulations for project business. Additionally, we require excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills, along with fluency in English and German languages.
