Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager

We are a specialty vaccine company, Valneva, dedicated to developing and commercializing prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases addressing unmet medical needs.
In our pursuit of innovation, we are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior External Manufacturing Manager. This role will be based in Vienna, Austria.
Responsibilities- Technical Liaison: Serve as the single point of technical contact for assigned external partners and internal departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across impacted manufacturing sites.
- Manufacturing Leadership: Lead daily technical activities for commercial manufacturing, including review of process change requests, deviation reports, and CAPAs.
- Project Management: Manage projects related to commercial vaccine production, such as process improvements, capacity increases, and new product introductions.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues, troubleshoot, and lead problem-solving efforts to ensure continuous production.
- Change Control: Manage Change Control, providing technical impact assessments for change controls and product complaints.
- Document Review: Review and approve documents like MBRs, risk assessments, qualification protocols, and CMC documents.
- Candidate Profile: Demonstrate expertise in supporting day-to-day activities related to functional technical operations in a cGMP manufacturing setting.
- Experience: Several years of experience in large-scale commercial pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Skills: Profound knowledge in formulation and process development of sterile injectable products with hands-on experience in a plant setting.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills, capable of guiding others, especially in cross-functional teams.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of cGMP, post-approval changes, ICH guidelines, and regulatory validation.

The estimated annual salary for this position is € 120,000 - 150,000, based on full-time employment and market standards.
