Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at a 5-star hotel in Lech, Austria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section, ensuring exceptional quality throughout the dessert offerings.


This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and creativity. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop new ideas and items for our pastry kitchen, create stunning desserts, and ensure excellent presentation.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage daily operations of the pastry and bakery section
  • Develop new ideas and items for the pastry kitchen
  • Create stunning desserts and displays
  • Ensure excellent quality and presentation
  • Coordinate activities of pastry chefs and workers
  • Supervise and coordinate pastry preparation and presentation
  • Monitor stocks and make orders within budget
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Encourage teamwork and build mutual trust

Required Skills and Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • 4 years of experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or 2 years as a Head Pastry Chef in a 4- or 5-star hotel or fine dining restaurant
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Excellent knowledge of the pastry and bakery section
  • Fluency in English or German
