Job Title: Expert Data Engineer
At REWE International IT, we are seeking a skilled Expert Data Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Data Architecture: Plan, develop, and implement an optimal data architecture on the Google platform to provide a high-quality foundation for analysis and machine learning use cases.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with analysts, product managers, and backend developers to understand and implement data requirements.
- ETL Process Design: Support the design and implementation of new extraction, transformation, and loading processes from various data sources.
- CI/CD Methodologies: Utilize and ensure state-of-the-art methodologies to deliver a future-proof, scalable form.
Requirements:
- Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud.
- Scalable Data Pipelines: Experience in creating scalable data pipelines.
- ETL Design and Maintenance: Familiarity with custom ETL design and maintenance.
- Data Formats: Knowledge of XML and JSON data formats.
- Relational Databases: Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar).
- Programming Skills: Programming skills in R, Python, Java, etc.
- Data Workflows: Experience in creating data workflows via Kafka, Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, or similar tools.
- REST APIs: Experience in communicating via REST APIs.
- Data Platform Delivery: General experience in delivering a scaled data and analytics platform.
- dbt: Knowledge of dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and modeling.
- Independent Work: Independent and structured way of working.
- Ownership and Learning: High level of ownership and ability to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
- English Language: English knowledge in spoken and written.
