Job Title: Data Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at REWE International IT. As a Data Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement test strategies to improve the quality of our data and analytics products
  • Develop and execute manual and automated tests to validate data integrity, performance, and reliability
  • Drive the test automation for our data platforms, integrating automation frameworks and tools, and creating automated test cases
  • Communicate QA progress, issues, and results to stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and management
  • Support the implementation of a Data Quality Framework with DQIs and DQ Gates, using modern technologies such as ML/AI to detect anomalies and automate manual work
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in data testing and quality assurance

Requirements:

  • Completed technical education with a focus on IT or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in the IT industry, with significant experience in quality assurance and testing in the world of data and analytics
  • Strong experience with testing tools and test-automation frameworks in the area of data, such as Selenium, Apache JMeter, Tosca, and Query Surge
  • Proficiency with data querying, modeling, and/or engineering techniques, including SQL, PL/SQL, Big Data, ETL/ELT, and more
  • Hands-on experience in projects relating to testing data solutions, such as data lakes, system integration, data migration, and data warehousing
  • Experience in analytical cloud databases, such as Snowflake and BigQuery, is an advantage
  • Passionate about data, analytics, and data-driven decision making, with knowledge of data visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, and Looker
