Business Development Manager for Battery Systems

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at AVL List GmbH. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our customer base in the battery test systems market.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market share in the battery test systems segment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and technical support, to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reporting to management, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.

Requirements:

  • Completed economic or technical-commercial education (University of Applied Sciences, Technical University or comparable) with focus on electrical engineering, information technology, industrial engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in technical sales, preferably in the energy storage or battery development sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, energy storage, and energy management principles.
  • Excellent communication and intercultural skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Business fluent in English, with additional languages (German, French, etc.) being an advantage.
