Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Expert to join our team at ClimatePartner. As a key member of our Account Management Team, you will be responsible for driving the success of our clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies for clients, including carbon footprint assessments and reduction plans.
  • Analyze client data and identify opportunities for emissions reduction, and develop workshops to engage stakeholders on climate change mitigation.
  • Lead projects on Scope 3 assessments and decarbonization initiatives, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on climate change mitigation approaches, including Beyond Value Chain Mitigation (BVCM).
  • Support clients in meeting regulatory requirements related to climate change, particularly in the areas of corporate sustainability reporting and European sustainability standards.
  • Offer expertise on sustainability claims, marketing initiatives, and reduction strategies.

Requirements

  • Passion for sustainability and climate change.
  • Relevant academic background in sustainability or a related field (e.g., sustainability management, environmental sciences).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in sustainability management or consulting.
  • Proven expertise in areas such as GHG accounting, carbon accounting, climate change, and adaptation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build relationships and establish trust through comprehensive advice and knowledge transfer.
  • Experience in project management, with the ability to efficiently manage complex projects.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and pragmatic problem-solving approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively in both German and English.
