Our ESG Function

We are searching for an ESG Sustainability Specialist to join our newly created ESG-function. The ESG Sustainability Specialist will play a pivotal role in advancing sustainable and responsible business practices within the organization, focusing on evaluating and enhancing the company's performance in areas related to environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of ESG Reporting processes and Sustainability Reports
  • Regularly update existing double-materiality assessments and assist the ESG Director during external verification of Sustainability Reports
  • Collaborate on the identification and analysis of ESG risks and opportunities
  • Support the development of ESG Strategies and partner with other functions
  • Monitor and evaluate ESG-related programs and policies
  • Partner with other functions to ensure integration of ESG in all areas of the organization
  • Prepare reports and presentations on the organization's ESG performance
  • Stay up to date on ESG trends and regulations and apply them in the organization
  • Assist in periodic updates of ESG profiles on ratings and address inquiries
  • Assist in defining and implementing necessary cross-functional corporate processes
  • Engage with internal and external partners to stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes

Requirements

  • University Degree in fields such as environmental science, sustainability studies, finance, economics, business administration, or social sciences
  • Min 3 years' experience working on sustainability projects, organizational sustainability departments, or Sustainability consulting firms
  • In-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting methodologies; familiar with sustainable investment principles and ESG rating agencies
  • Strong communication skills presenting ESG matters in an understandable way across various forums and levels of the organization with the right level of detail
  • Strong analytical skills, IT affinity, and excellent MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint,...)
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a virtual/international team
  • Strategic mindset and flexibility in resolving issues and addressing changing priorities

Compensation

The minimum salary for this position is € 35,000,- gross per year based on full-time employment. However, our salaries are market-oriented and in line with your qualifications and experience.
