We are seeking a highly skilled Process Control Engineer to join our team at ANDRITZ, a leading global supplier of plants and equipment for hydropower, pulp and paper, aluminum, steel, and other industries.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop innovative plant control concepts for green hydrogen and renewable fuel solutions.
- Define requirements for control equipment and align with project management and other disciplines.
- Participate in HAZOP and LOPA studies, and add control loop indications to piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Prepare process function descriptions, interlock descriptions, and control loop drawings.
- Work closely with project management and other disciplines, including piping, layout, static and rotating equipment, electrical, and automation.
- Interface with software engineers and lead software FATs and SATs.
- Be part of the commissioning, start-up, and optimization team, and align and improve control strategies for R&D projects.
- Degree-level qualification in an automation or process engineering discipline.
- Minimum three years of experience as a process control or I&C engineer, with experience in the petrochemical gas industry a plus.
- Knowledge of control of gas systems and experience with PLC programming a plus.
- Ability to consult with customers and notified bodies about technical design requirements.
- Strong communication, analytical, and planning skills, with a solution/team/customer-oriented approach.
- Fluent in English, with another European language an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for at least 5 days per month.
