Job Summary

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled SCADA Engineer to join our team in Northern & Central Europe. As a key member of our Plant Operation department, you will be responsible for configuring and commissioning network communication for Vestas SCADA solutions and other automated functionalities in our power plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and commission network communication for Vestas SCADA solutions and other automated functionalities in our power plants
  • Provide remote support and network-related troubleshooting in cooperation with customers and cross-functional teams
  • Technical documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Ensure knowledge sharing, optimizing, and improving our product solutions
  • Utilizing different software platforms to support service business and stakeholder satisfaction

Requirements

  • A relevant technical education, e.g., in an engineering field, computer science, telecommunications, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies
  • Experience with leading networking vendors' hardware and software, e.g., Cisco, Microsoft
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools, e.g., Nagios
  • General knowledge of maintenance or commissioning of SCADA systems
  • Fluency in English

Competencies

  • Ability to organize multiple assignments and prioritize tasks as needed
  • Ability to participate effectively as part of an international and geographically remote team
  • Proven ability to work with limited supervision
  • High attention to detail and a solid commitment to quality
  • Experience from working with wind turbines or offshore network setup is an advantage
