Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Manager to join our team at Light for the World International as the Team Lead for Project Controlling. This role is critical in overseeing the financial management of grant-funded projects, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and our organization's policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the decision-making process of grant applications, ensuring alignment with our organization's goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate financial donor reporting, including ad hoc financial reports, to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Produce high-quality financial information, derive critical insights, and communicate effectively with international donors, program teams, and country offices in sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Prepare for and oversee audits, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and our organization's policies.
  • Design, implement, and enhance standard financial processes, focusing on financial planning and analysis.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to project staff and partners to strengthen their skills in grant management, financial reporting, and compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial management, controlling, or a related field, preferably in a leading role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial planning and analysis, and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are a must.
